Our Technology

Coshocton  Family Dentists   |   Schaeferle & Schaeferle   |  Quality Cosmetic Dentistry

By utilizing the most advanced technology available, our office ensures that each patient achieves optimal results. Some of the state of the art technology we have implemented at our office includes,  digital x-rays, intra-oral digital photography and soft tissue lasers.

DEXIS Platinum Digital X-Rays     .

Digital radiography (digital x-ray) is the latest technology used to take dental x-rays.  This technique uses an electronic sensor (instead of x-ray film) that captures and stores the digital image on a computer.  This image can be instantly viewed, enlarged, enhanced, and reproduced, helping the dentist and dental hygienist to diagnose and treat patients quickly and more accurately.  Digital x-rays reduce radiation 80-90% compared to the already low exposure of traditional dental x-rays.

9 Out of 10 people prefer the comfort of DEXIS sensors. The unique, ergonomic shape of the DEXIS Platinum sensor fits more comfortably in patients’ mouths. Clinicians can move about the mouth efficiently which can mean a more accurate procedure and less patient discomfort.

Intra-Oral Camera

If needed for communication, an intra-oral camera displays pictures of dental conditions for both the patient and doctor to see.   This wonderful new technology allows you to relax in your chair while simultaneously observing pictures or video of the inside of your mouth, magnified beyond normal size. Not only does this make it simple to see and understand what is happening in your mouth, but it also makes it simple for us to keep incredibly accurate records from one visit to the next.

Soft Tissue Laser

Our office now uses the latest in dental laser technology to perform a wide range of dental procedures on oral tissues and gums more comfortably. From trimming excess gum for a better looking smile, to reducing gum pockets for less bacteria accumulation, using Laser Dentistry for gum procedures can decrease discomfort, shorten healing time, and give you a more healthy mouth.
